Émondage SBP : Professional Tree Pruner in Montreal and Montérégie
Émondage SBP was founded in Sorel-Tracy in 2007 by two arboriculture enthusiasts, Benoit Poliquin and Sébastien Poirier. Together, they already had 12 years of experience in the field and were keen to develop techniques and practices with regard to tree pruning in urban areas.
Starting your own business involves both family and monetary sacrifices and they will understand this soon enough, but there is nothing to stop them. Work weekdays for an employer and weekends for their company in the hope that one day they will be able to fly on their own!
But life decided otherwise and in 2009, Mr. Poliquin bought out Mr. Poirier's shares and he continued despite everything to develop his dream.
In 2010, Benoit's efforts were rewarded when he left his employer to devote himself full-time to his arboriculture business on the South Shore of Montreal.
In 2012, the cornerstone of Émondage SBP, Mr. Marc Picard, arrived! With 30 years of experience in arboriculture, he takes care of all the logistics for the company's residential, institutional and commercial services. Five employees are now part of this adventure.
In 2013, Émondage SBP extended its activities to the territory of Montreal and its north and south shores, with the offices now located in the municipality of Saint-Antoine-sur-Richelieu. With more surface area served, the company is diversifying its service offering and hiring new employees.
In 2017, more than 12 employees are part of the team and the company wins major public contracts, among others for the municipal, governmental and institutional level.
Hard work to provide quality service is the greatest achievement of Émondage SBP and it would not be possible without the dedication of all its employees! Thank you all!

Trust the competent and experienced arborists at Émondage SBP. We serve Montreal, the South Shore and all of Montérégie. All our pruners are certified in arboriculture-pruning and receive training in first aid and occupational safety, which is regularly updated.
We have specialized equipment to carry out pruning work, tree felling and even deforestation quickly and safely. We are also a commercial member of the International Society of Arboriculture – Quebec inc (SIAQ) and we have liability insurance of 5 million covering any damage that may occur during the work.
